Welcome to the WE Engage tool for developers of onshore wind farms, and of supporting infrastructure, including transmission network operators (TSOs).
This tool is intended to support developers and TSOs to inform, engage and involve local communities.
The key to a successful onshore wind development lies in effective and meaningful dialogue around the project including the development process, the implications on the associated grid infrastructure and the possible impacts and benefits for communities.
WE Engage intends to help you explore how local people can contribute with thoughts, comments, concerns and support.
In developing a wind project, developers and TSOs may wish to consider how to provide information to communities, how to facilitate engagement and dialogue, and how to explore the potential for a financial partnership with a community organisation. WE Engage is designed to help you identify appropriate measures for each of these tasks throughout the lifetime of your project.
