Legal framework for information and engagement measures

There is no legal obligation in Italy to inform and engage local residents in wind farm development plans. When dealing with relevant public authorities such as the municipality, developers might be asked to hold meetings to properly inform the local communities.

Legal framework for innovative financial measures

Currently, there is no legal obligation to give a certain percentage of income to regions or municipalities. However, some developers provide 3% of the revenue to municipalities. There is no legal framework for financial measures as outlined in the WE Engage tool.
