Developers and Transmission System Operators
Welcome to the WE Engage tool for developers of onshore wind farms, and of supporting infrastructure, including transmission system operators (TSOs).
WE Engage intends to help you explore how local people can contribute with thoughts, comments, concerns and support.
In developing a wind project, developers and TSOs may wish to consider how to provide information to communities, how to facilitate engagement and dialogue, and how to explore the potential for a financial partnership with a community organisation. WE Engage is designed to help you identify appropriate measures for each of these tasks throughout the lifetime of your project.
In delivering any type of community engagement strategy, there are four components to consider:
- How to assess the context of wind projects
- How to review your team’s competences
- How to undertake a successful stakeholder mapping exercise
- How to build your strategy
